Chinoiserie Inspired Original Art

This artist's process begins with a piece of fabric surfaced with  plaster, then delicately handled to create random fractures that will inspire its own composition.  A mixed media is then used on the grisaille panels; the midnight panels also have a mixed media starting with an antiqued lacquered finish; and the silver pieces include the application of genuine silver leaf which is then oxidize, all being layered onto my signature canvas.  Currently, the fragments are Chinoiserie inspired, where the artists is applying her knowledge and history in the decorative arts to create a modernized application of a centuries-old art form.
